I had driven up to Gainesville to visit another friend/bride, and it just so happened to work out for the three of us to grab dinner! Laura and David had booked me several weeks before, and at long last I was able to put a face to the sweet character I had gotten to know via emails and phone calls. I knew the moment I set eyes on her that Laura would be a sweet, kind, and beautiful bride. That dinner was full of storytelling, giggling, and an irrepressible giddiness over their upcoming weddings! I could hardly WAIT. ❤️
June 24th finally arrived! It was an early start to a glorious day, and the air was immediately filled with laughter, joy, and jokes galore. Laura and David were calm and collected, yet BURSTING with excitement! They got dressed, hugged their mamas, exchanged sweet notes and presents, and were finally ready to meet at the end of the aisle. I will never forget David’s face when he first saw his bride! He looked at her with such a sweet tenderness and emotion that moved the entire sanctuary! The ceremony brought on tears, conveyed truth fearlessly, and gave such beautiful glory to God. At long last, they were MARRIED! Off to the party! 🎉
Laura and David’s reception was the perfect combination of elegance and intimacy. Friends gave toasts, couples danced, and the newlyweds played the shoe game to a room full of roaring laughter. It was early afternoon when they finally changed into their get-away outfits and began hugging loved ones goodbye. The stepped into their sleek mustang and with one last rev of the engine, made their exit to the applause and waves of the crowd. 🙌
I drove home to Lakeland with a smile on my face. It is always SO encouraging to see couples wait for and honor true love! It is couples like Laura and David that remind of why I love being a wedding photographer. And at the end of the day, I left as a friend and a sister, which is the best job perk around. 🙂
Please enjoy Laura and David’s beautiful wedding!
