Allyson & Eric: a Laurel Wood Gardens Wedding

Some friendships are meant to be.

When I first heard from Allyson, I knew that her wedding would be a perfect fit for me! She and Eric dreamed of an intimate and beautiful garden wedding, complete with lawn games and live music. Um, yes please! We eagerly set up a meeting in Tampa in order to get to know each other. It didn’t take long for us to hit it off, and soon we were giggling like little girls! Our laughter must have been contagious, because a gentleman came up to us in the restaurant and said that our smiles had brightened his whole day! Needless to say, more laughter ensued. 😂

October 28th finally came, and after months of careful planning, Allyson and Eric’s dreams were about to come true! Their personalities were written all over the celebration. Allyson was garbed in lace from head to toe, and Eric pulled off the vest and bowtie look effortlessly! From the minute we arrived at Laurel Wood Gardens, it felt as though we had stepped into a fairytale. The love birds could hardly wait to have their First Look and be in each other’s arms! We wandered around the forest, laughing and pulling fluffy caterpillars off of Allyson’s dress whenever they decided to hitch a ride. I loved every second!

The guests began to trickle in as Kelly Rhodes swayed with his saxophone. A gentle breeze was blowing and the sun was perfectly veiled by the passing clouds. The ceremony was simple, sweet, and genuine. Soon enough, Allyson and Eric were finally and completely MARRIED! Guests made their way over to the the reception for a relaxed time of pie-eating and game-playing. The saxophone crooned in the background as everyone visited and enjoyed the beautiful environment. My favorite part was when Allyson and her Dad had a father/daughter CHESS game in place of a first dance! It just doesn’t get much better than that. 😊 The evening ended with a fun, bubble-filled exit and hugs all around. ♥️

Allyson and Eric are exactly the kind of couple I love. They value tradition as well as originality, and all in a laid-back and beautiful setting! There is just nothing like the peace and joy of an intimate wedding like theirs. I can’t wait to see where their adventures take them, and to have been a part of capturing their wedding day is the truest honor I can imagine! I hope you enjoy this peek into their lovely day. 😊
