Kaity & Cory’s Wedding!

First Meetings

I first met Kaity at Southeastern University. We were in the same class and hit it off in no time! 🙌 Time went by and we went our separate ways, though we never completely lost touch with each other. ❤️ In fact, Kaity first told me about Cory at Concord Coffee, where we were meeting to catch up about life. She had a smile on her face when she said that something was different about this guy, and she had a feeling they were going to go the distance! 😍 I had just started dating Matt, and so we both left that day with hopeful, romantic dreams. So when she got in touch with me a few months ago to be her WEDDING photographer, I was over the MOON! 🎉

9/2/18

The wedding day arrived with cloudy skies and a cool breeze. ☁️  Their sweet and private venue was about a 30 minute drive outside of Lakeland, where a small collection of family and friends were about to gather. It was a quiet morning, since Kaity only had two bridesmaids who got prepped with her. 🙌 And as Kaity finished her own hair and touched up her makeup, I couldn’t help but be reminded of how much I love laid back wedding days! The main priority was to get MARRIED and these two were oh so ready. ❤️ Before we knew it, Kaity was ready and it was time to see Cory. 😍 They had their first look in a nearby field, where just seconds after they laid eyes on each other it began to POUR rain! 😱 We all got just a little damp on our run back to the venue. 😂Thankfully, the rain passed by and we were able to venture out and enjoy the newly cooled air. 🌻 Soon enough it was time for their ceremony to begin! An intimate number of guests arrived and took their seats as Cory walked out and prepared to receive his bride. As soon as she walked through the double doors, he lost it! 😭 And I don’t blame him because boy was she beautiful. 😊 Kaity’s Mom gave a lovely welcome, and then Kaity’s Dad stood up to marry the couple. They read vows to each other, exchanged rings, braided a three-strand chord, and took communion. Then they had their first kiss as husband and wife and were MARRIED! 🙌 After family photos, some more romantic portraits, and a brief break to bustle Kaity’s gorgeous dress, it was time for the reception to begin! 🕺 Dinner was served, speeches were given, and then the dance party began. The evening ended with a fun, glow-stick exit, and just like that, another wedding day was all wrapped up! 🎉

Giving Thanks

I’m so thankful for all the wonderful people the Lord has allowed me to meet and serve through my work as a wedding photographer. 😭 It’s so crazy how blessed I am! And since Kaity and Cory live in Lakeland, I get to look forward to a continued friendship. 😊 As for this gorgeous wedding, a huge shoutout to Kaity’s mom who coordinated the whole thing, Dawn Upchurch who designed the AMAZING florals, and the private barn which hosted the celebration! And now, check out the images from their gorgeous wedding day. ❤️
