It was a beautiful and bright day in Tampa when Emily and David got married. We had first connected months ago and at long last, January 12th had arrived! I showed up at Emily’s Airbnb where I found a houseful of bubbling bridesmaids and light-hearted family members. Wasting no time, I started off photographing the handmade jewelry that Emily had made (!) for each of her girls. WOW! Everything was so impressive, including the delightful wedding invitation that opened up to reveal a delicate, 3D tree. (Yes, my assistant and I literally gasped when we saw it!) Emily and David had thought through every last thing and today their hard work was paying off. Emily’s dress was equally breathtaking, with its intricate beading and glamorous folds. Let’s just say my artistic side was over the MOON! After having fun taking pictures around the Airbnb, it was time to board the quaint trolley outside and get to the ceremony. I’ll never say to a fun trolley ride! We bounced along the streets of Tampa until we got to the Davis Island Garden Club and got Emily tucked out of sight. Soon enough her father arrived, and we were able to sneak them off to a private corner of the grounds to have their own first look! SO sweet. Then the music started to play, guests began to arrive, and it was time for the ceremony to begin. David was all smiles as Emily made her way down the aisle. Guests were seated on three sides of the centerpiece gazebo, where Emily and David exchanged rings, vows, tear-filled laughter, and their first kiss as husband and wife. YAY!
The evening was red and gold as we meandered the grounds and took romantic pictures. Emily and David could not stop smiling! Seeing how deeply they enjoyed just being together was truly touching. The Tampa skyline was brilliant against the evening sky as they held each other by the water’s edge. We ended our time with some fun pictures by the trolley, and then made our way back inside for the reception. The newly-weds shared their first dance, and then had their father/daughter and mother/son dances. Then dinner was served, followed by hilarious and meaningful toasts. Then it was time to get on the dance floor! Emily had warned me months before that she LOVED to dance, and it didn’t take long to see why! The floor was PACKED for every single song. What a party! Later in the night they played the shoe game, enjoyed a few more dances inside, and then it was time to go. Guests waved Emily and David through and aisle of sparklers, and then the couple boarded a water taxi and waved goodbye to their guests who watched them sail by from the shore. What a wedding!
This wedding was pulled off by a team of AMAZING vendors! 2 Sisters Events & Design provided the beautiful decor as well as exceptional coordinating, LDM Beauty worked their magic with hair and makeup, Puff ‘n’ Stuff catered the evening, DJ Los from Eklectic Entertainment kept us dancing all night, and OMG Trolley provided the transportation! Finally, special thanks to my photography team! Thanks Casie Marie Photography for being a great second shooter, and Katie Anderson for being an amazing assistant. Thank you everyone for an amazing time!
And now please enjoy the images from Emily and David’s wedding day!
